La madera me hace llorar/
In her farewell solo from the stage, Julieta invites the most relevant artists she has worked with throughout her career to direct her together in her final piece.
It's August, and I dream that the streets are made of water. I want everything and nothing at once. I am nothing, sitting on some bench in no place. We know nothing about what is happening in November. The graph fractures. My life is science fiction. I am in the full craft of watching intently. It is difficult to describe here today what does not yet exist. This work saves me. They say August is the longest month of the year because of the feeling that everything is about to arrive, but it hasn't yet. It's August again, and I don’t want to swallow anymore—I want to spit. I have new reasons. The dampness is behind me, and with it, the stagnation. It's August, and it's Sunday, the ultimate Uruguayan torment. The night glows, the clouds drift slowly. Time moves in the most extraordinary way. I am still deciphering what I feel, and I still don’t like looking at myself in the mirror, and I still don’t know how to swim in the sea, and still—it's August...
